"naught"
09.14.05
1:56 a.m.
I met you in grade 9.
"Do you have the homework yet?" you asked
I said "yeah, but it's mine."

We grew together, through everything
You laughed at my mom when she said "What!"
And only you would know what that really means.

Bubble tea, ecstasy, the escalators at
Playdium on that fine, fine night.
You remember the swing sets at 4 am? I do.

Where is our child now? She's at least 5.
Drop zone, rides home, jitz and special K.
This is our history.

Who knew 4th period could change so much?

You know like no one else does.
You were there like no one else was.
Only you could understand what it is
i really long for.

But do you?

Part of me is gone now.
But what part was that exactly?
The good or the bad?

You are there and i am here.
We are naught.

The taste of sweet tarts on my tongue.
